Women's Soccer begins second three-match road trip of season at Tennessee Tech Sunday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee's Women's Soccer will aim to string three consecutive victories together for the first time this season on Sunday when it makes the short trip to Tennessee Tech at 5 p.m.
The Blue Raiders' (6-1-2) trip to Cookeville sees them face off against the 2025 Ohio Valley Conference Champion Golden Eagles (3-3-2) for MTSU's third in-state matchup of the season.

- Sophomore defender Scottie Newton took home CUSA Defender of the Week honors on Aug. 18 after playing 174 minutes and helping her team to notch two clean sheets and face the fewest shots by any CUSA team (13) through its first two matches.
- Sophomore defender/midfielder Charli Dunn recently concluded her stint with the New Zealand U-20 National Team at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Poland, starting the final match of the Ferns' tournament against the United States.
Series History
The Blue Raiders will bus northeast for their 22nd all-time matchup with the Golden Eagles, with the Blue and White dominating the tie at a 16-4-1 mark. The most recent contest was on Sept. 11, 2025, a two-all draw.
Scouting the Golden Eagles
The Blue Raiders make the short in-state trip to Cookeville, Tenn. to take on the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, who went 7-7-8 (6-0-3 OVC), winning their fourth consecutive Ohio Valley Conference regular-season championship.
Tech concluded its 2025 season in the first round of the NCAA Tournament 0-2 to Vanderbilt, but not before claiming its second OVC Tournament championship and first since 2000.
Tennessee Tech made the move to the SoCon in 2026, where it is predicted to finish eighth out of 11 teams in its inaugural season.
The Golden Eagles are led by third-year head coach Corey Boyd, who led his team to the 2025 OVC Tournament Championship and its first NCAA Tournament appearance in 25 years.
