Baseball unveils 2027 CUSA slate

MURFREESBORO, Tenn.- Middle Tennessee baseball will compete in 27 games across nine series in the 2027 Conference USA slate, the league office announced on Wednesday.
The Blue Raiders will host four of the nine series inside the friendly confines of Reese Smith Jr. Field.
CUSA play will begin for the Blue Raiders on the road, taking the 100-mile trek north to clash with longtime rival Western Kentucky on March 26-28. This will include a series finale between the two foes slated for Easter Sunday.
The following weekend the Blue Raiders will return back to the 'Boro for their league home opener against FIU on April 2-4. Middle Tennessee will be back on the road to go to war with the Owls, taking on Kennesaw State in a three-game set from April 9-11.
The reigning CUSA Champions, Jax State, will head to Murfreesboro from April 16-18. The series against the Gamecocks will mark the halfway point of the league schedule for Middle Tennessee.
To begin the backend of the league slate, the Blue Raiders will head east to Lynchburg, Virginia for a series against Liberty from April 23-25. In the second-to-last home series of the season, Middle Tennessee will welcome Missouri State to The Reese for the first time as a member of CUSA. The first Blue Raiders-Bears series in Murfreesboro since 2009 is set for April 30-May 2.
Middle Tennessee will round out its home schedule by hosting Sam Houston. This marks the second time in three years that the final home series is against the Bearkats.
For the final weekend series of the season, Blue Raider Baseball will depart for Newark, Delaware for the first time in program history. Middle Tennessee is 3-0 against UD all-time, after the first matchup between the two last year.
Following the conclusion of the regular season will be the CUSA Championship hosted by Sam Houston in Huntsville, Texas. The tournament is slated to run from May 26-30.
Times, TV schedules and the remainder of the Blue Raiders' schedule surrounding non-conference play will be announced at a later date.
