Blue Raider baseball announces return of John Stanford Grand Slam Social

MURFREESBORO, Tenn.- Middle Tennessee baseball has announced that it will be hosting the John Stanford Grand Slam Social on Friday, Oct. 23. The event will include both a Happy Hour overlooking Reese Smith Jr. Field from the upper concourse of Floyd Stadium and a dinner inside the SRM Concrete Club with a showing of game one of the 2026 MLB World Series.
The Happy Hour is slated to run from 6:00-6:45, while giving attendees an inside look at the turf installation at The Reese.
Along with the showing of game one of the World Series, the SRM Concrete Club dinner will be headlined by a barbecue plate. Attendees will get opportunities to meet the Blue Raider Baseball team, and to hear from Head Coach Jerry Meyers with an inside look at the upgrades to The Reese along with ways to support the Blue Raider Baseball program.

"We're excited to bring back the John Stanford Grand Slam Social, a baseball event that was started in 1984 by legendary coach John Stanford and carried on by great coaches over the years," said Head Coach Jerry Meyers. "It's a great opportunity for our coaches and players to meet many of the friends and supporters of our program. It's just a good time of year to get together and talk baseball right around the World Series. We're looking forward to showing our appreciation for the great tradition of Blue Raider Baseball that was built by Coach Stanford, Coach Peterson and every former player over the years."
