2003 (Freshman): Righthander who started in the midweek with a great degree of success for most of the year ... Posted 4-1 mark with 4.58 ERA in 13 appearances with 10 starts ... Struck out 58 in 55.0 innings and picked up victories in three of his final five starts of the season ... Blue Raiders were 8-2 in his 10 starts ... Opponents batted just .238 against the righthander, with lefties hitting only .213 ... Tossed two scoreless innings with one strikeout in first collegiate appearance, at Tennessee Tech ... Struck out five, allowed three runs and gave up five hits in 5.2 innings in first start, versus Samford ... Got first win in opening game of a doubleheader at Memphis, striking out nine in 4.2 innings while allowing one run on three hits ...
