"We are thrilled to have Chase join our staff," said McGuire. "He has worked with a lot of different athletes the past few years, which will benefit us here at Middle Tennessee. We are excited to have him on board."
Sain recently spent this summer as the hitting coach for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod Baseball League. He oversaw two of the best hitters in the Cape Cod League. Carl Wise ranked second in the league with eight homers, while Donnie Dewees Jr. was fifth in the league with a .340 batting average.
The Bolivar native spent the past year as hitting coach and recruiter for Victory University in Memphis. The Eagles finished the 2014 season 31-24 and placed fourth in the Small College World Series.
Prior to his one-year stint at Victory, Sain served as student assistant coach at the University of Memphis for two seasons. While at UM, he coached catchers and assisted with coaching hitters. He created offensive and defensive drills, while prepping pitchers inside the bullpen during games.
Sain graduated from Memphis with a bachelor's in interdisciplinary studies in August 2013.
