Fall: Compiled a 5-5 record during singles play in fall competition, including wins over nationally ranked opponents against Memphis and Alabama … Recorded two victories in doubles action with partner Gian Issa and Miguel Negre Fernandez ... Spring: Was named to the Conference USA All-Academic team … Notched a 10-6 mark in singles competition while posting a combined record of 5-0 as the No. 4 and 5 player … Posted a 7-17 record in doubles action, and boasting a 2-2 record with Miguel Fernandez … Ran off a seven-match win streak to start the spring season that included a victory over No. 6 TCU’s Arnau Dachs (3/6) … Four of his five losses were against ranked opponents … Went on a pair of two-match win streaks in doubles play as the No. 1 and 2 tandem with Issa, picking up victories against Tennessee State (2/22), Austin Peay (4/7) and Central Florida (4/10).

Fall: Went 2-1 in singles play at the Dale Short Shootout. Spring: Posted a 7-4 mark in singles play for the Blue Raiders & Went 11-7 in doubles action with teammate Aaron Jumonville & 15 of his 18 doubles decisions were at No. 2, while three were at No. 1 & Tallied a singles win over Rice in the Conference USA quarterfinals (April 18) & Helped a shorthanded Blue Raider team to a victory over No. 60 UCF (April 13) with a straight-set singles victory and No. 1 doubles win & Picked up a doubles victory vs. No. 20 Columbia (March 2).
2012-13 (Sophomore)
Fall: Went 7-6 in tournament play & reached the semi-finals at the UTC Steve Baras Fall Classic, defeating Jacksonville State s Felipe Wenzel in the Round of 16 and Lipscomb s Colby Chaw in the quarterfinals & Was 2-1 at the Dale Short Shootout, Sept. 21-23, picking up wins over Brandon Florez (Southern Illinois) and Tom Puetz (UAB) & Teamed with Marlon Brand for the fall, going 6-5 in tournament play & won two matches at the UTC Steve Baras Fall Classic in doubles before falling in the semis. Spring: Went a combined 11-12 in duals for the spring. Had wins over Virginia Tech s Jucas Oliveira, Northwestern s Mihir Kumar and Cal Poly s Marco Comuzzo & In the SBC Championships, had a 6-7 (4-7), 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-2) comeback win over Louisiana s Jarred Wynan to clinch the championship round berth for MT & In doubles, Born and Marlon Brand were 2-0 in the SBC Championships & Born/Brand topped 19th ranked Daniel Hoffman and Marc Powers of Yale, 8-6 on Feb. 10.
2011-12 (Freshman)
Spring: Joined MT program in the spring & Finished with a 3-7 singles record and 12-11 doubles record & Won first collegiate singles match on Jan. 29 against Nathan Martin of Morehead State, 6-1, 6-1, at the No. 4 position & Team with Marlon Brand primarily at the No. 1 position in doubles & Earned first doubles victory on Jan. 29 against Chattanooga s Stephen Crofford/Ankit Chopra with an 8-5 win & Defeated four opponents from nationally ranked programs.
Prior to MT
A 2010 doubles semifinalist in the German National Junior Championship ... Finished in the top ten nationally in 2006 and 2007, in addition to a top-200 finish in Europe in 2008 ... Singles finalist in the U-14 Tennis Europe tournament, doubles finalist in the U-16 tournament and a U-18 club team champion from 2008-11 ... Reached four finals and earned one national tournament victory in 2011.
