- Claimed the silver in the mile at the UAB Green and Gold Invitational when he finished with a time of 4:20.17.
- Inked a personal best 800-meter time of 1:51.58 at the Vanderbilt Invitational when he finished seventh overall.
- Had two Top 10 finishes in his first collegiate meet, the Jim Green Invitational. He finished fifth in the 800-meter with a time of 1:54.05 and 10th in the mile with a personal best time of 4:13.91.
- Competed in five events out of seven as a freshman.
- Posted a career-best 8K time of 24:34.3 at the Greater Louisville Classic where he finished 47th overall.
