Alison Ness begins her 21st year at Middle Tennessee. During her time at MTSU, Ness previously served as the head athletic trainer for women’s basketball from 2003-10, changing roles to serve as the head athletic trainer for women’s soccer from 2011 to present.
Ness assists Keith Bunch, the Director of Sports Medicine, with numerous administrative duties and also teaches classes within the CAATE Accredited undergraduate athletic training education program.
Prior to coming to Middle Tennessee, she worked as a staff athletic trainer with the football team at Florida Atlantic during the 2002-03 season. Ness also worked as a clinical athletic trainer at HealthWork Rehab & Fitness in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Ness earned her masters of science at West Virginia and completed her bachelors in athletic training at Slippery Rock. She is married to Will Ness, who is the head athletic trainer at Lipscomb University and they have one son, Jordan.
