Joseph Barbetta joined the Middle Tennessee Sports Medicine staff in November 2025 as an Associate Athletic Trainer, primarily providing coverage for the Blue Raider Football program.
Prior to coming to Middle Tennessee, he worked as an Athletic Trainer for the College of William & Mary with their football and women's tennis teams during the 2023-2025 season. Barbetta also worked as a Seasonal Athletic Trainer with the Detroit Lions for the 2023 season.
Barbetta earned his Masters of Science at Arkansas State University while working as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with Arkansas State Football. He completed his Bachelors in Athletic Training at Miami University. He is married to Brittany Barbetta and they have one son, Luca.
