McLean's 28 Kills Leads Lady Raiders to Win over FIU

MIAMI, Fla. - Sophomore Dara McLean had a career high 28 kills to help lead the Middle Tennessee volleyball team (11-8, 2-3 SBC) to a 3-2 (29-31, 30-26, 25-30, 33-31, 15-9) win over Florida International (4-13, 1-3 SBC) on Friday in Golden Panther Arena.
It was also McLean's first double-double of the season as she also had 10 digs in the match. Three other Lady Raiders ended the night in double figure kills with KeKe Deckard scoring 13 and Katie Thiesen and Kariesse Baker each collecting 12.
Sophomore Kelly Cannon also had a big night as she dished out a career high 58 assists against FIU. She also recored two service aces.
The Lady Raiders will step out of Sun Belt Conference play on Tuesday when Middle Tennessee travels to Knoxville to take on the Tennessee Lady Vols. Match time is set for 6 p.m. in Stokely Athletic Center.
