Volleyball Defeats Denver 3-1

DENVER, Colo. - Middle Tennessee volleyball (12-9) evened its Sun Belt Conference record to 3-3 with a 3-1 (30-27, 30-26, 26-30, 33-31) win over Denver (2-14, 1-5 SBC) Friday in Hamilton Gymnasium.
Senior Jennifer Hignite led the Lady Raiders with a career-high 15 kills, notching 23 attacks and just one error for a .609 attack percentage. KeKe Deckard had 14 kills for the Middle Tennessee and Erin Hillstrom rounded out double figure kills for MT with 10.
Sophomore setter Kelly Cannon had 47 assists for Middle Tennessee and freshman Kimberly Moeller had 11 digs. The Lady Raiders ended the match with a .276 hitting percentage in contrast to Denver's .254.
The Lady Raiders continue their road swing when Middle Tennessee travels to Las Cruces, New Mexico to take on New Mexico State. The Aggies suffered their first conference loss of the season at the hands of Western Kentucky 3-2.
