CHARLESTON, S.C. - Keke Deckard recorded 22 kills as Middle Tennessee (3-0) downed College of Charleston (1-2) three games to two to claim the C of C Invitational tournament title Saturday. Andressa Lyra of the Lady Raiders was named MVP of the two day Invitational junior Dara McLean was named to the all-tournament team. The Lady Raiders took the first game in the match 30-26 but the Cougars came back and won the second game 34-32. Middle Tennessee controlled the third game of the match 30-16 before the Cougars battled back to tie the match up with a 30-25 victory in game four. The Lady Raiders claimed the tournament title by taking the fifth game 15-12. Karisse Baker recorded 15 kills, six digs and three blocks for Middle Tennessee in the tournament clinching win. Middle Tennessee will be back in action on Monday when the Lady Raiders travel to Atlanta, Ga. to take on Georgia State at 2 p.m.
