Track Teams Begin Outdoor Season

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Fresh off winning the men's and women's Indoor Track Championships, Middle Tennessee will open the Outdoor season this weekend at the University of Alabama Relay. The Blue Raiders will get a boost in distance competition as they welcome the return of Geoffrey Lagat for the Outdoor season. Lagat was out of eligibility for the Indoor season, but he has one season remaining to run outdoors. "I think having him back will help us," Middle Tennessee track coach Dean Hayes said. "We feel good about our team and everyone is healthy. This weekend will give us a feel for the Outdoor season, and give us a chance to put things together."
