Blue Raiders Collect Personal Bests, Reach Podium at Tennessee Invitational

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. —Middle Tennessee athletes set several personal records and earned podium spots during two days of competition at the Tennessee Invitational in Knoxville.
On the first day, Mustapha Bokpin won the men's 200 meters with a personal-best time of 20.59 seconds. His performance puts him in the top 20 of the 2026 NCAA Division I top 100 for the event. In the women's triple jump, Viktoria Rusnakova took second place with a personal best of 12.46 meters.
Building on these results, in the women's 1,500 meters, Viviana Salonia posted a personal-best time of 4:42.57, while Hailee Gorham finished in 5:00.89. In the men's 1,500 meters, Gabe Allen ran 3:50.52, and Abraham Valenzuela recorded 4:00.30.
Day two, Zenade October took first place in the women's 800 meters with a time of 2:08.65. Jonathan Harris recorded a personal best 10.57 in the men's 100 meters. Elijah Northcross added a personal best 49.20 in the men's 400 meters. Emma Thomas posted a personal-best 2:17.25 in the women's 800 meters. In the Women 4x400m, in October, Chidinma Agu, Mariah Ivery, and Courtney Green ran 3:41.81 and now place 66th in the 2026 DI College Outdoor Rankings. Emerson Brinkmeier got a personal best in the women's 100 with a 13.43. In the men's 100 relay, James Thomas Jr. Bokpin, Harris, Evan Tomlinson got third place with a time of 40.27.
