Women's Basketball Hits the Airwaves

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's women's basketball team will hit the airwaves this season on two area radio networks for all contests as well as a bi-monthly coach's television show in the Murfreesboro area.
The Blue Raiders and head coach Rick Insell debut on the Blue Raider Network Friday at 7 p.m. versus defending national championship and preseason No. 1-ranked Maryland. David Reed returns for his second season calling the action for Middle Tennessee. The squad posted a 20-11 mark last season, winning its third consecutive Sun Belt Conference Tournament and advancing to NCAA play for the third straight year.
Fans may listen to all women's basketball games at 88.3 WMTS in Murfreesboro as well as 1400 AM WZNG in Shelbyville. All contests may also be heard at GoBlueRaiders.com, with the pregame show beginning 15 minutes before tipoff.
The Middle Tennessee program is adding an every-other-week television show this season called The Rick Insell Show on MTTV, local Channel 10. Richard Lowe produces the 30-minute broadcast spotlighting coaches, players and fans affiliated with the Middle Tennessee program. The show is scheduled to air every other Tuesday at 8 p.m. on MTTV. Reminders about the show's date and time will be sent periodically.
