ALBANY, N.Y. - Middle Tennessee volleyball (7-4) got back on the winning track with a 3-0 (30-28, 30-24, 30-21) blanking of Temple (5-6) Friday at the Albany Tournament in University Gymnasium.
The Blue Raiders notched a .323 attack percentage in the clubs fifth shutout of the season. Middle Tennessee also committed just 13 errors on 96 attacks and 44 kills. As a squad, Middle Tennessee also registered 22 block assists and four solo blocks, averaging 15 for the match.
Temple was held to a .142 attack percentage and hit .000 in the third game. The Owls committed 27 errors and had eight service errors.
Sophomore Ashley Adams led both squads with 18 kills. She had 30 total attacks and zero errors for a .600 attack percentage. Adams was the only Blue Raider to register double figure kills.
Freshman setter Leslie Clark led the Blue Raiders in assists for the first time in her career, with a career-high 39 assists. She also had six defensive digs and four block assists.
Middle Tennessee returns to action on Saturday to face Syracuse at 9 a.m. and host Albany at 6 p.m.
