MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee jumpers Carl and Carlos Morgan and distance runner Zamzam Sangau will all participate in this weekend's NCAA Last Chance Meet on Saturday at Lied Recreation Center. The Morgan brothers both jumped 24-10 in the long jump at the Sun Belt Championships, provisionally qualifying for next week's NCAA Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. But both athletes will have to improve their marks in order to make next week's field, as their marks are tied for 35th on the NCAA Descending Order List. Sangau's school-record time of 4:48.27 in the mile run is just 27-hundredths of a second short of provisionally qualifying for the event. The sophomore has set three school records this indoor season, posting school-best marks in the 800-meters and 3000-meters. Sophomore Sarah Nambawa automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships in the triple jump with a school-record mark of 44-8.25 at the SBC Championships. The long jump begins at 11:30 a.m. and the mile run is set to start at Noon on Saturday on the Iowa State campus in Ames, Iowa. Full results may be found at http://www.cyclones.com. NAMBAWA NAMED ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Nambawa was named the TrackShark.com Female Athlete of the Week after her school-record mark of 44-8.25 in the triple jump at the Sun Belt Championships. Nambawa won the triple jump, placed second in the long jump, finished eighth in the 400-meters and ran the second leg on the second-place mile relay team. The sophomore automatically qualified for next week's NCAA Championships in the triple jump and her mark currently ranks fourth nationally on the NCAA Descending Order List.
