Blue Raiders Set for Yellow Jacket Invitational in Atlanta

ATLANTA, Ga. — Middle Tennessee Track & Field travels to Atlanta for the Yellow Jacket Invitational, hosted at George C. Griffin Track on Friday and Saturday, March 20–21, 2026.
About Middle Tennessee
At the Conference USA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Lynchburg, the Blue Raiders men placed third, while the women finished fourth.
Faith Nyathi led the way on the women's side, capturing the 5,000 meters title and placing second in the 3,000 meters. Jacinto Gaspar recorded runner-up finishes in both the men's 5,000 and 3,000 meters, while Moses Lekokei claimed titles in both events.
In field events, Xarya Udoumana finished third in the women's long jump. Privillege Chikara added a second-place finish in the women's mile, and Chidinma Agu posted a personal-best performance to place second in the women's 400 meters.
On the men's side, Mustapha Bokpin earned a conference title in the 200 meters and placed second in the 60 meters. Wail Bourahli finished second in the 800 meters, while Mackdonald Songok won the event. The men's distance medley relay team of Juan Lucas De La Fuente, Gabe Allen, Bourahli and Songok secured a third-place finish.
Last Time at Yellow Jacket Invitational
At last year's meet, Middle Tennessee recorded three podium finishes on the opening day, including a personal-best performance in the women's 1,500 meters. Both the men's and women's 4x100-meter relay teams also earned third-place finishes.
