Blue Raiders Close Yellow Jacket Invitational with PRs, Runner-Up Finish

ATLANTA, Ga. — Middle Tennessee track and field wrapped up the Yellow Jacket Invitational on Day 2, achieving multiple personal records and another second-place finish.
In the field events, Joel Iheakolam topped the men's division with a triple jump mark of 14.84m, while Viktoria Rusnakova recorded an 11.28m jump in the women's event.
On the track, Chidinma Agu showcased a standout performance, finishing second in the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 24.01. Agu also set a personal best in the 400 meters at 53.25, with Courtney Green not far behind at 54.69. In the women's 400 meters, Mariah Ivery marked a personal-best time of 57.40, and Julia Peebles followed with a time of 1:05.22.
Middle Tennessee continued its strong showing in the 800 meters, where Zenade October clocked in at 2:11.32, Lily Storey finished at 2:15.75, and Viviana Salonia recorded a personal best of 2:22.57. Eleanor Towe posted a time of 2:21.86, and Laila Williams finished at 2:25.69.
On the men's side, the 400 meters featured personal-best performances from James Thomas Jr. with a time of 47.51, Jamaree Jenkins at 48.72, and Elijah Northcross with a time of 49.23.
The men's 800 meters also displayed strong performances, led by Juan Lucas De La Fuente at 1:53.24, Gabe Allen with 1:54.92, and Ross Evans recording a time of 1:56.77, each achieving personal bests. Carlos Gonzalez finished at 2:11.16.
In the sprints, Desiree Cameron Wilson set a personal record of 24.97 in the women's 200 meters, with Mariah Ivery finishing at 25.00 and Ella Miller at 26.62. Laila Rudolph clocked in at 25.69, while Emma Benzinger recorded a time of 27.99.
In the men's 200 meters, Thomas Jr. posted a personal-best time of 21.54, while Jonathan Harris finished at 22.35, and DeVaun Butler recorded a time of 23.44.
