MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Blue Raiders continued to perform well as it defeated Lipscomb 3-0 on Friday afternoon.
In the first match of the Blue Raider Bash, the Blue Raiders took the sets by scores of 25-19, 25-16 and 25-21.
Senior Ashley Asberry led the team with 15 kills as she hit .591. Junior Ashley Mead added 13 kills of her own for a .545 hitting percentage.
As a team, Middle Tennessee had 45 kills for a .330 hitting percentage but only had two blocks.
Middle Tennessee will be back in action on Friday night a 7:30 p.m. when it faces Iowa State.
