Raiders begin play at AutoTrader.com Collegiate Classic

ATLANTA – Middle Tennessee will compete in its third tournament of the fall when it begins play at the fifth annual AutoTrader.com Collegiate Classic at Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth, Ga. The 54-hole event, hosted by Georgia State, will bring together some of the top teams in the southeast at one of the premier courses in metro Atlanta.
Following today's practice round, the Blue Raiders will play 36 holes on Monday followed by the final 18 holes on Tuesday. The format will be an 8:30 a.m. shotgun on Monday, with tee times starting at 8 a.m. off the first and tenth tees on Tuesday.
The field will include a pair of top 50 teams and eight top 100 squads in the latest Golfweek rankings.
The group of 14 teams includes host Georgia State, College of Charleston, Chattanooga, Davidson, Francis Marion, Lipscomb, Mercer, Middle Tennessee, UNC Greensboro, South Alabama, South Florida, Richmond, Temple and Troy.
The Blue Raiders are coming off a top five finish at the Memphis Intercollegiate on Sept. 21-22 and will be led by junior Drake Duncan (71.3) and freshman James Beckner (73.0).
