Raiders slated to finish regular season in Birmingham

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Samford Invitational marks the last indoor meet for the Middle Tennessee track & field teams Friday and Saturday prior to the Conference USA Championship Feb. 25-26.
The Blue Raiders spent the last four meets in their home state of Tennessee and last competed at home in the Middle Tennessee Invitational, where MT claimed nine dual meet victories between the men's and women's teams.
For the women last week, Barbara Vilson (high jump), India Hammond (long jump and triple jump), Shaina Johnson (400 meter), Christal Wilson (55-meter hurdles) and Doreen Agyei (55-meter dash) all claimed the top spot. In addition, Atsu Nyamadi (long jump), Byrson Lillard (55-meter hurdles) and Hillary Rono (1:52.06) notched an individual title at the Middle Tennessee Invite.
Prior to their stints in Nashville and Murfreesboro, the Blue Raiders competed in the UAB Invitational Jan. 10 at the Birmingham CrossPlex, where this weekend's meet and the C-USA Indoor Championships are held.
