Seniors Will Be Honored Before Game
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee will conclude its regular season against Florida Atlantic Saturday at Murphy Center at 10:30 a.m., seeking its 13th consecutive 20-win season and honoring its seniors in the "Senior Game."
The Blue Raiders (19-8, 13-4) have produced 20-plus win seasons 22 times in school history, including all nine seasons under Head Coach Rick Insell.
It will mark the final Murphy Center home game for senior guard Shanice Cason and junior guard MacKenzie Sells. Senior manager Ashlynn Trotter also will be honored. Senior recognition will take place prior to tipoff at approximately 10:15 a.m.
Cason is a four-year starter and is among career leaders for games played and games started. The workhorse leads C-USA in assist-turnover ratio this season and has been a mainstay for the Blue Raiders. Cason has been part of three championship teams in her Blue Raider career.
Sells will graduate in August and has opted to bypass her final year of eligibility and will be honored for her contributions to the program, as well.
Middle Tennessee will be looking to cap the season in style and continue momentum heading into the C-USA Tournament in Birmingham next week.
