Women's Golf set for Lady Paladin Invitational

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee begins play in its third tournament of the fall on Friday as the Lady Paladin Invitational tees off in Greenville, S.C.
The Blue Raiders will travel six players for the first time this season for the three day event which will be played at the Par 72, 6,313 yard Furman University Golf Course.
Senior Samantha Gotcher and sophomore Hanley Long have been the top two performers for MT in the first two tournaments of the season with the latter being recognized as the Conference USA Female Golfer of the Week following the Mason Rudolph Championship.
Jenna Burris, Lacie York and Katherine Holmes will each retain their spots in the Blue Raider lineup as well while freshman Emily Lankford will make her first appearance of her young career playing as an individual.
The 19-team field features a trio of teams listed in the most recent Golfweek rankings in host Furman (No. 20), Texas (No. 28) and Missouri (No. 37).
Middle is also joined in the field by Augusta, Daytona State, ETSU, Georgetown, Georgia State, Illinois, Kennesaw State, Maryland, Mercer, Minnesota, New Mexico, Ole Miss, Tulsa UNC Wilmington, Virginia Tech and Wofford.
The first round will begin at 9:00 a.m. with tee times off the first and tenth tees with Jenna Burris leading things off for the Blue Raiders on the first hole at 9:30 a.m. CT.
Burris will be followed by Holmes, York, Gotcher and Long while Lankford will tee off on the tenth tee at 9:48 a.m. CT.
