GOOD IN NOVEMBER: Under Rick Stockstill, the Blue Raiders have enjoyed success down the final stretch of the season in November. Over its last 36 games in the month of November, the Blue Raiders are 25-11 and have won 16 of their last 21. Overall under Stockstill MT carries a 27-15 mark in November.
STOCKSTILL SETS PASSING RECORD: With 255 yards today against Charlotte, junior Brent Stockstill became the Blue Raiders' all-time leading passing. Stockstill, who accomplished the feat in just 28 career games played, surpassed former Raider Wes Counts who had 8,007 yards from 1998 to 2001. Counts played in 43 games. Stockstill is now the school's all-time leader in passing yards, passing yards per game, touchdown passes, 300-yard passing games and 400-yard passing games.
NO DOUBTING THOMAS: Junior RB Tavares Thomas continued to provide a strong impact in the ground game against Charlotte. Thomas rushed for a career-high 195 yards. He also turned in his second multi-touchdown performance of the season with two, one shy of his career high of three against FIU earlier this season.
LEE GETS 4TH: For the fourth time in his young career, sophomore Ty Lee went over the 100-yard receiving mark. Lee hauled in six passes for 121 yards, including a career long 63-yard TD grab in the second quarter. It was his second 60-plus yard play in Jerry Richardson Stadium as he had a 61-yard scoring run in last year's win over the 49ers.
MT TRIPLETS: The Blue Raiders unveiled their version of triplets against Charlotte Saturday, as they had a 200-yard passer, 100-yard rusher and a 100-yard receiver in the same game for the first time this season. Against Charlotte, QB Brent Stockstill threw for 255 yards; RB Tavares Thomas rushed for a career-high 195 yards; and receiver Ty Lee had 121 yards.
QUICK HITTERS: PK Canon Rooker played in his team-high 49th game tonight … LB DJ Sanders made his team-leading 23rd straight start … QB Brent Stockstill has now thrown at least one touchdown pass in 20 straight games played … Another new uniform combination today as the Raiders wore blue helmets, gray jerseys and blue pants for the first time … OL/TE Ty Watkins recorded his first career touchdown reception on just his second all-time catch today against Charlotte … CJ Windham's 47-yard reception was the longest of his career … Freshman Reed Blankenship recorded his team-leading second interception today and just the fourth for the Raiders this season … MT is now 60-6 when scoring 30 or more points under Stockstill.

Middle Tennessee rode the momentum of 28 unanswered first-half points to a 35-21 win at Charlotte.
The Blue Raiders (5-5, 3-3) scored 28 unanswered after falling behind 7-0 to start the game and led 28-7 at the half with a dominating display of first-half football that moved them to within one game of bowl eligibility.
Middle Tennessee finished it off with a strong second half to win its second straight since quarterback Brent Stockstill returned from an injury suffered in the second game of the season at Syracuse.
The Blue Raiders displayed a balanced offense with a 200-yard passer, 100-yard rusher and 100-yard receiver for the first time this season. Stockstill was 18-of-31 for 255 yards and three touchdown passes. Stockstill also became the program's all-time passing yardage leader in the process. He came into the game needing 104 yards and surpassed Wes Counts' mark of 8,007 yards on a 47-yard pass to CJ Windham.
Junior linebacker turned running back Tavares Thomas had a monster game with a career-high 195 yards rushing on 29 carries. He added two first-half touchdowns on runs of 2 and 4 yards, respectively. It was a career high in yards for Thomas and marked his second multi-touchdown game of the season.
Sophomore receiver Ty Lee was also a difference maker with 121 yards on just six receptions. He also had a touchdown grab.
The offensive avalanche was supported by an equally impressive defensive masterpiece. The Blue Raiders limited Charlotte to 356 yards total offense, including limiting it to just 98 yards on the ground, and controlled the game after allowing the 49ers to score on their opening drive. It was the second straight game holding the opposition under 100 yards rushing.
Safety Reed Blankenship's second interception of the season midway through the fourth quarter provided a final dagger, and Stockstill capped the game with a 4-yard scoring pass to Patrick Smith to seal the C-USA road win.
Blankenship was part of a big defensive game turned in by several Blue Raiders. He finished with four total tackles and one tackle for loss to go with the interception.
Jovante Moffatt and Khalil Brooks led the defense with seven tackles each while linebacker Darius Harris added six stops, including a sack and a pass breakup.
After falling behind 7-0 on Charlotte's first drive, Middle Tennessee went to work.
Thomas scored on a two-yard run to cap an 8-play, 77-yard drive and even the score 7-7, following Canon Rooker's successful extra point. Thomas scored from the four on the Blue Raiders' next drive to push the give Middle Tennessee a 14-7 lead, which it would not relinquish.
Stockstill threw the first of three touchdown passes when he connected with Ty Watkins for a 6-yard pass. He also threw scoring passes of 63- and 4-yards to cap his strong game.
