Lady Raiders return to Murphy Center to host UTSA

MT winners of 10 straight C-USA games at home
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Riding a five-game home winning streak, Middle Tennessee opens the month of February welcoming the UTSA Roadrunners Thursday night.
Tip from Murphy Center is set for 6:30 p.m. and can be heard on 89.5 WMOT with Dick Palmer and Duane Hickey on the call. Fans can also watch the action on ESPN3 via the WatchESPN app.
Thursday will mark the fourth meeting in the series, with Middle Tennessee claiming victories in the first three matchups.
The Lady Raiders (12-8, 7-2) return to Murfreesboro, where they have won 10 consecutive conference games. In their last outing, the Raiders claimed a 79-65 win at LA Tech behind timely play from rookies Kyla Allison and Charity Savage.
Allison logged a career-high nine points in the first quarter of play. Savage sparked the MT offense, which closed the game on a 25-11 run, with six points, a pair of rebounds, a steal and a block late in the fourth quarter.
Alex Johnson, who averages 23 points per game in league play, led MT with 26 points, while Ty Petty added 23 in the win against the Lady Techsters.
UTSA (10-9, 4-4) are winners of five of its last six games. The Roadrunners split last week's slate, dropping a matchup against Marshall before defeating WKU 80-77.
Loryn Goodwin leads the Roadrunner offense and is third in the league with 18.3 points per game, while Tesha Smith averages 14.2 points and a team-best 7.6 rebounds a night. As a team, UTSA ranks second in C-USA with 10 steals per game.
Following Thursday's game, Middle Tennessee will remain at home to close the weekend against UTEP. Saturday's action is set for a 7 p.m. tip and will be broadcast on ESPN3.
