Raiders Win Two Draws at Louisville Fall Invitational

Louisville, KY. - Jacob Pugh won his singles draw while Stijn Slump and Daniel Stormon won their doubles draw on Sunday to cap off a successful weekend for Middle Tennessee at the Louisville Fall Invitational.
Pugh dropped just one set in his three matches, earning victories over opponents from Austin Peay and Ball State. The senior swept his opponent 6-0 in two sets in the invitational in his first action of the fall season.
Slump and Stormon took down their opponents from Louisville, Ball State, and Austin Peay as they finished 3-0 on the weekend. The freshman duo won two of their three matches in tiebreakers with scores of 8-5 and 8-6.
Coach's Comments
"It was a great weekend for the guys and our program," said Assistant Coach Sebastian Rey. "I was very impressed with Stijn and Daniel's performances in doubles winning their division, they played aggressive and smart doubles all weekend. Jacob did an amazing job being his first tournament in the fall. He stepped up as a senior leader and played with great fighting spirit. I'm very happy for him that he won his division."

MT will take a weekend off ahead of a trip to Birmingham, Alabama for the CCB Collegiate Invitational. The matches will take place November 2nd through the 4th.
