MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee welcomes Mississippi Valley State to the Murphy center on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 5:00 p.m. The Lady Raiders enter the contest against the Delta Devils with a 2-2 record after falling to the Belmont Bruins on Monday evening.
Wednesday's contest marks the first meeting between the two programs.
Scouting Mississippi Valley State
The Delta Devils enter Wednesday's contest after recording their first win of the season over Austin Peay (95-89) in Clarksville, Tenn. after the team opened their season on back-to-back losses to TCU (47-96) and SMU (47-62).
LaKendra Bassett is the Mississippi Valley State leading scoring, averaging 13.7 points per game. Similarly, Bassett is 15-of-35 from the field, hitting on a .429 field goal percentage this season.
On the defensive end, Makayla Bonner has inked seven of the teams 13 blocks this season while Jazmin Holmon is the leading rebounder for the Delta Devils, picking up 18 in the team's first three outings.
Hayes Contributing off the Bench
Senior A'Queen Hayes has been a large offensive contributor for the Blue Raiders in the team's first four games this season. Coming off the bench, Hayes averages 27.3 minutes while hitting 17-of-36 from the field and 4-of-7 from the arc.
Similarly, Hayes remains active on the boards for Middle Tennessee, grabbing seven offensive and nine defensive rebounds to rank second on the team in total rebounds (16).

Over the Thanksgiving break, the Lady Raiders will travel to Las Vegas, Nev. to compete in their first preseason tournament of the season.
