Tillett Named to TopDrawerSoccer Freshman Best XI Team

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The awards keep flowing in for Middle Tennessee soccer. Freshman midfielder Hannah Tillett has been named to the TopDrawerSoccer's Freshman Best XI Second Team.
"TopDrawSoccer covers all Collegiate and Youth soccer," said Head Coach Aston Rhoden. "So for Hannah to be recognized by them is quite an achievement given the number of quality freshman soccer players across the country. She had an amazing year and will only get better."
The Huntington, Ind. native adds the achievement to her already long list of first year accolades that also include C-USA Freshman of the Year, All-Region Second Team, All-Conference First Team and C-USA All-Freshman Team.
Tillett was the only member of Conference USA honored by TopDrawerSoccer in their annual Best XI list and Freshman Best XI list. She is also the first Middle Tennessee athlete to be named to a TopDrawerSoccer postseason team. She joins Martha Thomas of Charlotte as the only other C-USA Athlete in history to be earn the honor. Thomas was named to the Freshman Best XI Second Team in 2014.
Tillett was also honored by TopDrawerSoccer earlier this season. She was named an Honorable Mention Player of the Week on Sept. 11 after scoring four goals, including a hat trick in two wins over Valparaiso and Western Carolina.
In her true freshman campaign, Tillett started every game in the Blue Raider midfield while leading the squad in shots (52), shots on goal (27), goals (11), assists (8), and points (30). She also led the conference in goals and points and set a Middle Tennessee single season record for penalty kick goals, scoring five through the 18 game season.
