Track and Field Continues its Outdoor Season at the Tennessee Relays

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee track and field teams travel Knoxville, Tennessee to compete in the Tennessee Relays Friday, April 13 and Saturday, April 14.
The meet will commence at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning with Decathlon and Heptathlon events. The first Blue Raider to take the track will be Lauren Epps representing the team in the women's 400-meter hurdles event. Following her performance Edidiong Odiong, Cecilia Francis, Mirlege Castor and Ida Mensah will compete in the 100-meter dash.
Likewise, following the women's 100-meter dash Ifiok Umoh, Solomon Afful, Lamarco Petty, Keyon Hugle and Chaz Simmons will represent the men in the respective event.
Next, Joycelyn Assafuah and Loveth Odia will represent the Blue Raider women in the 400-meter dash while Jaquez Torian, Adeniji Adedamola and Matthew Stewart will represent the men.
Abike Egbeniyi, Patience Akanwogba, Trevon Sanders, Geoffry Cheruiyot, Julio Acevedo and Nathan Mack will run in the 800-meter event for Middle Tennessee. Meanwhile, Sampson Laari will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase following the 800-meter events.
Following the steeplechase events Rachel Kigen, Gladys Kipchumba, Valarie Jemutai, Racheal Kosgei, Pamela Kosgei and Julia Julaget will run in the women's 1,500-meter event. Similarly, Geoffry Cheruiyot, Kigen Chemadi, Jacob Choge will represent the men in the respective event.
Afterward, Edidiong Odiong, Cecilia Francis, Ida Mensah, Mirlege Castor, Solomon Afful, Ifiok Umoh, Lamarco Petty and Keyon Hugle will all represent the Blue Raiders in the 200-meter dash.
Rachel Kigen and Amos Cheruiyot will round off the track events of the day in the 5,000-meter event.
On the field, Qeutwrah Abdullah-Muhammad, Omolayo Omosola, Troy Valdary, Matthew Stweart, Jasmeen Phillips and Issaac Odugbesan will represent the team in their respective events.
