FINAL RESULTS
KANNAPOLIS, NC – Middle Tennessee had one of the best final round scores on Sunday to finish ninth at the Irish Creek Intercollegiate. The Blue Raiders had a 291 in round three to record their best score of the tournament on the par 71, 7,099-yard Irish Creek Club course.
Middle Tennessee was third in the field with 172 pars against 25 birdies.
Clemson won the tournament with an 859 total (7-over par) followed by North Florida (861), Georgia Tech (867), and Kansas (874).
Marcus Byrd carded a 1-under par 70 on Sunday to finish with a 220 total. Byrd finished tied for 24th at 7-over par.
Chip Thomas was one shot back of Byrd with a 221 after a final round 74. Thomas tied for 30th.
Tyler Johnson bounced back in the final round with a 72 for a 223 total. Johnson tied for 39th at 10 over par.
Ilari Saulo tied for 58th after posting a 228 cumulative score while James Beckner tied for 61st (229).
Hoyeong Kim, playing as an individual, turned in an even par 71 in his final round to tie for 45th overall. Kim had a 225 total score.
The Blue Raiders will be back in action this weekend at the Mason Rudolph which will be held at Vanderbilt Legends Club in Nashville. The team will play 18 holes each on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
