Abdullah-Muhammad in Second After Day One of C-USA Championships

HOUSTON, Texas – After the first day of the Conference USA Indoor Track and Field Championships, Qetuwrah Abdullah-Muhammad sits in second place in the women's heptathlon.

Abdullah-Muhammad inks 3,145 points after the first four events of the heptathlon. In the 100-meter hurdles, Abdullah-Muhammad claimed a third place finish with a time of 14.61 to record 894 points. Meanwhile in the high jump, she tied for first place with a height of 1.69-meters to ink another 842 points.

During the shot put, Abdullah-Muhammad claimed an eighth place finish while finishing third in the 200-meter dash (25.46, 846 points).

Abdullah-Muhammad will wrap up the final three-heptathlon events tomorrow, starting at 4:30 p.m.

Tomorrow, Jacob Choge and Amos Cheruiyot will compete in the men's 10,000-meter run tomorrow evening while Pamela Kosgei, Gladys Kipchumba and Julia Jelaget will represent the women in the 10,000-meter event.
