Beckner named to Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team

Advances to the All-America ballot
MURFREESBORO - The 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team, selected by CoSIDA, was announced on Thursday and Middle Tennessee golfer James Beckner made the prestigious team. The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the playing field and in the classroom.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with Google Cloud Academic All-America® teams announced in June.
Beckner, a junior, owns a perfect 4.0 GPA in biology as he pursues a career as a dentist. On the course, Beckner has played all 35 rounds where he has a career-best 73.4 stroke average. He has 12 rounds of par or better, a top five finish and a low round of 69. Beckner was also recently named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team.
