Henry paces Blue Raiders in Little Rock

Two rounds in the books in Arkansas and Georgia
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Blue Raiders fired rounds of 2-over-par 290 and 5-over-par 293 to sit in 13th place at 7-over-par 583 after the opening day of the Everett Buick GMC Classic at Chanel Country Club. Redshirt sophomore Connor Henry leads the Blue Raiders at 5-under-par 139 and is tied for ninth.
Host institution Little Rock is atop the leaderboard with a 36-hole total of 23-under-par 553. Southern Miss and Lipscomb are tied for second at 12-under-par 564, while host Coastal Carolina and James Madison are tied for fourth at 11-under-par 656. The Blue Raiders are in 13th place at 7-over-par 583.
Lipscomb's Minas Manias leads the individual standings with a 36-hole total of 11-under-par 133. He is followed by Little Rock's Ed Featherstone, North Texas' Blake Keen and Southern Miss' Matthew Javier at 10-under-par 134. Henry leads the Blue Raiders at 5-under-par 139 and is tied for ninth.
The Everett Buick GMC Classic concludes with a final round on Tuesday, Oct. 14. Middle Tennessee will be paired with ULM, Troy and Lamar. The final round will begin at 8:15 a.m. CT via a shotgun start.
The Lineup
• Connor Henry posted rounds of 3-under-par 69 and 2-under-par 70 to pace the Blue Raiders. He is tied for ninth at 5-under-par 139
• Oliver Baker carded matching rounds of even-par 72 and tied for 35th at even-under 144.
• Carter Maneth is tied for 62nd at 5-over-par 149 (75-74).
• Maddox Crowder is tied for 71st at 7-over-par 151 (74-77).
• Cooper Solberg rounded out the lineup at 19-over 163 (81-82), in 87th place.
Individual Tournament
• Jake Hopper paced the Blue Raiders in Statesboro with rounds of 2-over-par 74 and 4-over-par 76. He is tied for 55th at 6-over par 150.
• Will Pinson carded matching rounds of 4-over-par 76 and tied for 60th at 8-over 152.
• The Bash in the Boro concludes with a final round on Tuesday, Oct. 14 via shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. CT.

"It was great to see Connor break through with two great rounds today," said Head Coach Mark McEntire. "Ollie played steady. We just need to be able to put together a couple more rounds."
