Christian named Coastal Plains Hitter of the Week

MTSU Freshman baseball player Myles Christian has been electric at the plate in his summer league games with the High Point-Thomasville HiToms. He has been rewarded for his efforts by being named the Coastal Plains League Hitter of the Week.
In his second week of play, Christian has been nothing short of spectacular as he hit five homeruns and posted a .500 batting average on the week. He also racked up a double, as well as 11 RBI's with a .571 on base percentage.
He currently leads his team in several offensive statistical categories including homeruns, RBIs, hits with 12, and batting average with a .429.

The Mississippi native has been an integral part of his team's success as they currently boast a 5-3 record and are in second place in the Western Division of the Coastal Plains League.
As a freshman at Middle Tennessee he earned 48 starts, 42 at left field and six at center field. He had a solid first year as he adjusted to the collegiate level posting a .259 batting average and two homeruns and seventeen RBIs.
He was a key part of the Blue Raiders this past season drawing praise from both his coaches and teammates.
