JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Middle Tennessee (2-1-0) showed its fight by scoring two second half goals to down North Florida on Thursday night. After a scoreless first half, Hannah Tillett assisted on two goals within five minutes as Sam DeBien and Madeleine Schricker found the back of the net. The 2-0 win also goes down as MT's first shutout performance of the year as Sydney Chalcraft collected four saves and the clean sheet in her first win of the season in goal.

17' - SAVE (MT) The Ospreys worked the ball around to the edge of the box and Krista Colubiale aimed for the far post, but Sydney Chalcraft dove and made a save for MT.

18' - SAVE (UNF) As the Blue Radiers went on the attack, Hannah Tillett got a pass and began to break away from the UNF defenders. She got off a strong shot but but keeper Rhiannon Conelley was there to make the save.

42' - CHANCE (MT) Madeleine Schricker led the charge for the Blue Raiders on a counter attack. Her shot was blocked, but went over the end line for a MT corner. The corner led to another shot form Schricker, but this shot went wide.

45' - CHANCE (UNF) The Ospreys came out strong in the second half with a quick attack and a cross into the box was received, but Kendra Hoffman's shot was blocked and cleared by the MT defense.

53' - SAVE (UNF) Amber Hoot saw the UNF keeper playing high in the box, and took a shot from just past midfield. It was on line, but Conelley quickly recovered to tip the ball over the net.

58' - CHANCE (MT) Sam DeBien trailed on an attack and posted at the top of the box. It was great positioning and helped her get an open shot, but the ball ended up just wide of the posts.

60' - CHANCE (UNF) A blocked shot gave UNF a corner. The ball was placed well, but a header from Hollyn Knight sailed wide right.

75' - GOAL (MT) Hoot's corner went just past the far post and was collected by Tillett, who in turn was able to find Schricker for another goal

86' - SAVE (UNF) The Blue Raiders kept pressing and Tillett took a counter attack deep into UNF territory, but Conelley dove and made a save.

Middle Tennessee will travel across the Florida panhandle this weekend to face No. 13 Florida State in Tallahassee. The Blue Raiders will face the nationally ranked Seminoles on Sunday, August 26th in an 11 a.m. kickoff.
