Raiders Look to Continue their Early C-USA Momentum on the Road

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's basketball team looks to continue its early conference momentum on the road, traveling to Texas for its next two conference contests. The Lady Raiders will face the UTSA Roadrunners on Thursday before rounding off their weekend in the Lone Star state on Sunday, competing against the UTEP Miners.
Lady Raiders on a Roll in Conference Play
Middle Tennessee remains undefeated in conference play, after knocking down Southern Miss and LA Tech this past weekend in the Murphy Center.
Respectively, senior A'Queen Hayes and freshman Taylor Sutton earned Conference Player of the Week and Conference Freshman of the Week honors after their performance this past weekend. The Player of the Week honor marks the second for Hayes, while Sutton has recived the Freshman honor for the third time.
Hayes was outstanding in Middle Tennessee's two wins last week. She averaged 15.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and shot 54 percent from the field and recorded her third double-double in four C-USA games.
Sutton put together another great week in receiving her third C-USA freshman honor. Sutton averaged 15.5 points, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steal in the two wins.
