Blue Raiders host Mars Hill Wednesday at 6:30

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The Historic Murphy Center and the "hallowed hardwood" of the Monte Hale Arena has seen 499 Middle Tennessee men's basketball victories since it opened in 1972-73, and the Blue Raiders will go for win No. 500 in Murphy Center on Wednesday against Mars Hill.

About the Blue Raiders
» Middle Tennessee is the only team in Conference USA with multiple scorers to average more than 20 points per game through two games.
» The Blue Raiders have had the hot hand from 3-point range to start the year, currently shooting at 40.7% (22-54) as a team.
» After winning at Lipscomb on Saturday, MT is just one road win shy of matching its total from last year. The Blue Raiders were 2-16 in all games away from home last season.
» The combination of Donovan Sims, Jayce Johnson, Jo'Vontae Millner, C.J. Jones and Antonio Green has started both games in the new season.
» Millner started his Blue Raider career with a double-double against Maryville on Nov. 5. His 13 rebounds were the most in a career debut by a Blue Raider since all-time rebounds leader Warren Kidd brought down 21 boards in his career opener (1990).

» Mars Hill is an NCAA Division II university coached by Vic Finora, who is in his fourth season.
» The Lions lost to Belmont Abbey to begin the season, 120-95, before bouncing back to win over Limestone, 90-77.
» Three different players average 18 points per game for Mars Hill through two games, and another averages 17.5 points.
» 6-foot-9 junior Nassyr Daniel is one of only two forwards on the guard-heavy Mars Hill roster.

» Wednesday's contest with Mars Hill will be the first in program history.
» MT Head Coach Nick McDevitt is 1-0 all-time against the Lions, winning an 84-51 decision as UNC Asheville's leader in the 2015-16 season.

» C.J. Jones made a go-ahead 3-pointer with 20.5 seconds left, and the Blue Raiders won at Lipscomb, 73-70.
» Antonio Green made four free throws to ice the game in the closing seconds.
» Four Blue Raiders scored in double figures, including Tyler Millin, who had 11 points on 3-4 from 3-point range in his second collegiate game.
» Green tied his career high in both assists (7) and steals (4).
