DENTON, Texas – It was a rough second half for Middle Tennessee (8-10-1) who fell to Rice (10-5-3) 4-2 in the Conference USA quarterfinals. The Blue Raiders two goals came from Peyton DePriest.
The first half went exactly as the Blue Raiders drew it up. DePriest takes a deflected shot and punched in her 41st goal of her career in the eighth minute. The Raiders outshot the Owls 7-4 with three coming on goal.

The Owls were able to knock in another goal in the 78th minute to give them a 4-1 lead. In all the Owls were able to score four unanswered goals to advance to the semifinals.
With three minutes to spare, DePriest ended her record breaking season on a high note scoring her 18th goal of the season (third-best in program history) and 42nd goal of her career (Record holder).
