Edoki and Egbeniyi to Compete at NCAA Indoor Championships

Middle Tennessee Track & Field athletes Fabian Edoki and Abike Egbeniyi have been selected to compete in the 2019 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship that will be held at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama. Edoki will compete on Friday, March 8th in the Long Jump while Egbeniyi will run in the preliminary heats for the Women's 800m run on the same day and can advance to the finals on Saturday, March 9th.
Edoki will enter the event with the 3rd best mark in the men's long jump competition. His jump of 8.01 meters has him just .05 meters off of the top seed mark. He'll be competing for the first time since winning the Conference USA championship in Long Jump with a new meet record.
Egbeniyi is seeded 6th in the Women's 800 with a time of 2:03.65. She got this time last weekend at the Boston Last Chance Invitational a week after winning the 800 at the C-USA Championship.
