NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee track and field team continues its outdoor slate at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invitational at the Vanderbilt Track.

Last Time Out | Yellow Jacket Invitational

In the first outdoor meet of the season, the Blue Raiders claimed three first-place finishes at the Yellow Jacket Invitational in Atlanta.

Isaac Odugbesan opened up the day on the field for the Blue Raiders, claiming a first-place win in the men's shot put. Likewise, Jacob Patten dominated on the field, notching a first-place finish in his best event, the men's high jump. Patten claimed the title of the field event with a height of 2.10m.

Meanwhile, Joycelyn Assafuah claimed gold for Middle Tennessee on the track in the women's 400-meter dash. Assafuah crossed the line with a time of 54.38.

The three Blue Raiders look to continue on their early success in the outdoor season
