Blue Raiders fall to Murray State on Wednesday

Prior to the bottom half of the inning, MT scored three time in the seventh to take a two-run lead. Blake Benefield belted a deep two-run homer to left center to give the Blue Raiders a one run advantage. Nick Carnevale would score on a passed ball to push MT's lead to two runs.
Tyler Duke delivered the game tying run in the bottom of the seventh for the Racers, followed by the go-ahead two-RBI double by Wes Schad.
The Blue Raiders scored first, when Darien Prewett, who led off the game with a full-count walk, scampered home on a wild pitch. Nick Carnevale would tack on one of his two RBIs when he grounded out to score Aaron Antonini.
Peyton Wigginton tallied a pair of hits as he was the only Blue Raider to collect a multi-hit game.
Right-hander Josh Young got his third start of the season. The freshman went six innings, giving up just three earned runs, walking one, and striking out six.
The Blue Raiders reached base 12 times via walks. They would finish the game with 13 runners left on base.
