Chemadi, Edoki Earn C-USA Weekly Honors

FRISCO, Texas – Middle Tennessee's Fabian Edoki and Kigen Chemadi earn Conference USA Player of the Week honors after stellar performances this weekend.
Edoki claimed fifth-place at the Texas Relays in the men's Section A long jump on Saturday, March 30 in Austin, Texas, earning C-USA Male Field Athlete of the Week. Edoki earned this honor after recording a distance of 8.00m on his fifth past of the afternoon. The Athlete of the Week honor marks the second of Edoki's career after claiming his first during the indoor season. Edoki leads the conference slate in the field event.
Meanwhile, at the Raleigh Relays, Kigen Chemadi posted a fifth-place finish in the 5,000-meter race with a career-best time of 13:46.84 to be named C-USA Male Track Athlete of the Week.
Chemadi leads the conference in the event, inking the best time of any member in the conference this season.
Middle Tennessee will return to the track this weekend to compete in the Tiger Track Classic in Auburn, Ala. on Friday, April 5 to Saturday, April 6.
