Raider Take on UAB in C-USA Showdown

Murfreesboro, Tenn.- The Middle Tennessee softball team will take on UAB in a three game series, beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday at 2:00 and concluding with a single game on Sunday at noon.
The Raiders (22-16, C-USA 6-3) are coming off a non-conference victory over UT Martin (23-15, OVC 5-3) on Wednesday. In that game the Raiders were led by pitcher Kailey Ahlstrom. The freshmen pitched all seven innings and held the Skyhawks scoreless.
Lexi Cushing would provide the offence, blasting an opposite field home run over the right field wall. Sydney Heath also pitched win with an RBI single, and helping the Raiders win 2-0.
UAB (14-21, C-USA 4-8) is currently tied for fifth in the West division of C-USA, and are coming off a series win against UTEP.
The Blazers are led by, Ole Miss transfer Dylinn Stancil. The junior his hitting .320, with 32 hits, and 22 RBI. Stancil hit a walk-off grand slam against UTEP in game one of the series.
After the series against the Blazers, the Raiders will head to Boca Raton for a three game series with FAU.
