CINCINNATI, Ohio – After nearly a two-week break since the season-opening appearance in Louisiana, the Middle Tennessee Men's Golf team returns to the course Monday to begin the Bearcat Invitational at Coldstream Country Club.
Head Coach Mark McEntire will make only minor changes to his squad for the second event of the season as freshman Gavin Clements will slide into the lineup with Tanner Owens, Ilari Saulo, Michael Barnard and Mattias Varjun.
Sophomore Jake Marvelli will join the travel party for his first appearance of the season as he competes in Cincinnati as an individual.
"I am really looking for our team to continue the good play we saw at Squire Creek," Head Coach Mark McEntire said. "My goal is just to keep learning about this team. With three freshmen in the lineup I just want them to keep getting reps and learning how to play college golf."
The Cincinnati Bearcats will host 12 other teams at the Par 71, 7,111-yard course, including Conference USA foe LA Tech.
"Coldstream is an old style, traditional golf course and is in great shape, and I look forward to a good week there," McEntire added.
Also in the field are Arkansas, Illinois State, Kentucky, Lamar, Louisville, Miami (OH), Penn State, Southern Illinois, Wisconsin and Xavier.
With 36 holes on the docket for Monday, the field will tee off in an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start.
The Blue Raiders will be paired with Miami (OH) and Wisconsin on day one and begin on holes 8-11 while Marvelli will start his day on hole 16.
Live scoring can be followed throughout day one on Golfstat.com.
