Netters collect 25 wins on strong weekend

MURFREESBORO, TN – The Middle Tennessee men's tennis team finished the weekend with 25 wins at the Buck Bouldin Battle of the Boro with Chattanooga, South Alabama and UAB at the Adams Tennis Complex on Sunday.
The Blue Raiders won three of the four doubles matches in back-to-back days. Graduate senior Oskar Michalek and freshman Andreas Kramer overcame Bradbary and Pasini of UAB, 6-1. The second duo off the court was Pavel Motl and Sean Presson after dropping Evrard and Collard of South Alabama. Finally, Tom Moonen and Francisco Rocha edged out Gatti and Rodriguez 7-5 for the 10th doubles victory of the weekend.
Francisco Rocha went 6-0 on the weekend, finishing the tournament with a straight-set win against Nevenhoven (6-0, 6-1) of UTC. Pavel Motl and Oskar Michalek posted a 5-1 record overall while Sean Presson, Patrick Kristensen, Andreas Kramer and Tom Moonen finished the weekend with a solid 4-2 overall mark.
The Blue Raiders will return to action on October 23-25 at the Southern Miss Invitational.
