MURFREESBORO, TN. - The Middle Tennessee women's tennis team is set to hit the road this weekend, traveling to Mercer's Gridiron Classic. The Blue Raiders will take part in the round robin event at the Randy Stephens Tennis Complex in Macon, Ga., on Oct. 2-3.
Due to COVID-19 there was uncertainty regarding the chance to play so Head Coach Tayo Bailey-Duvall is excited for the opportunity for her team to hit the court this weekend.
"We are excited and thankful to be able to compete this weekend at Mercer," Bailey-Duvall said. "With there being so much day-to-day uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, I am happy that our team members have all been cleared and ready to put our hard work to test. This homecoming weekend, we look to bring home victories, and hope the Blue Raider football team comes out victorious as well. Go Blue!"
Joining the Raiders and the host Bears are Chattanooga, ETSU and Troy. Action begins on Friday at 10:00 a.m. (CT) and 8:00 a.m. (CT) on Saturday. Be sure to check back to GoBlueRaiders.com each day for complete results.
