About the Blue Raiders
» MT is led statistically through the first three weeks by freshmen Kelci Hill and Kaylee Richetto.
» Hill has started all 17 games in centerfield and is 19th in the nation with 22 hits, while Richetto leads her new team in batting average (.440), slugging percentage (.800) and on base percentage (.500).
» Senior shortstop Summer Burgess is coming off her best week of the season, as she posted a .500 batting average in the Mardi Gras Mambo.
» All-time home runs leader Lexi Cushing has slugged five this season and has already notched a TSWA Player of the Week nod.
» Record watch is in full effect this season, as Burgess and Cushing inch closer towards capturing Blue Raider career records. Burgess is 36 hits shy of becoming MT's all-time hits leader, and Cushing is 8 RBIs away from bringing home the most runs of any Blue Raider hitter.
» Power can be found throughout the Blue Raider lineup, as Jocelynn De La Cruz is tied for the team lead with five homers, followed closely behind by Richetto and Lani Rodriguez with three round-trippers apiece.
All-time vs. the Madeira Beach Tournament 2 field
» The Blue Raiders are a combined 10-18 against the second Madeira Beach Tournament field.
» Most of that combined record is taken up by South Alabama, which leads MT all-time, 16-8.
» MT will play Seton Hall, Incarnate Word and Buffalo for the first time ever.
Scouting the Madeira Beach Tournament 2 field
» South Alabama has fallen to common opponents McNeese State, which also beat MT, and Nicholls State, which the Blue Raiders have won over twice.
» Houston Baptist is looking to make it two wins in a row against MT after defeating the Blue Raiders 3-2 on Sunday.
» Seton Hall has fallen to San Jose State and Loyola Marymount just like the Blue Raiders, but MT has a win over Utah State that Seton Hall does not.
» Miami (OH) is led by reigning MAC Co-Player of the Week Jada Dotson, who has a .500 batting average and 10 RBIs through six games played this season.
» Incarnate Word does not have any common opponents with the Blue Raiders. The Cardinals are coming off a 3-2 week at the Mardi Gras Mambo.
» Southeastern Louisiana is the lone common opponent between the Blue Raiders, who lost once to the Lions, and Buffalo, which has fallen twice to the Southland Conference foe this season.
Next Time Out
» After MT's final non-conference tournament, the Blue Raiders will visit Montgomery on the road back home to play a doubleheader against Alabama State on Tuesday afternoon.
