Men's Tennis hosts Indiana on Friday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee men's tennis team will host Indiana in a big match on Friday at 5:00 p.m. The Raiders ended January with an 8-1 record with wins over Arkansas, New Mexico and Wichita State.
The student athletes will be wearing green shoelaces to show support for fellow student athletes, peers, and community members in pursuit of mental wellness. Conference USA encourages all to stand up to the stigma and continue the conversation.
There will be free food, free shirts for the first 100 fans and alcohol available for purchase (21+).

Here come the Blue Raiders
- The Blue Raiders won the 2019 Conference USA title, first time since entering C-USA in 2012.
- Middle Tennessee made an NCAA appearance last season for the first time since 2011.
- Head coach Jimmy Borendame is in his 10th season and has a record of 151-98 (.595)
- Three Blue Raiders enter the ITA rankings. Senior Max Rauch is ranked No. 121 in singles, while the sophomore duo of Pavel Motl and Stijn Slump jump up 28 spots to No. 20 in doubles. This is the highest ranking since Marco Born and Andreas Siljestrom No. 1 spot in 2007.
- The Raiders hot start is the best since 2011.
- In singles, the Raiders bolster a 35-8 record in dual matches.
- Out of the nine doubles points, the Raiders have collected eight.
- No. 76-ranked Chris Edge leads the Raiders in wins with 13 in singles and doubles.

Scouting the Hoosiers
- Hoosiers lead the series, 6-4
- This is the 11th meeting between the Blue Raiders and the Hoosiers. Indiana has won the last three matches in a tight 4-3 difference.
- Indiana is 3-2 with wins over Ball State (7-0), Memphis (4-3) and Notre Dame (4-3) and losses to No. 1 Texas (4-0) and Vanderbilt (4-2).
- Last spring, the Hoosiers went 14-12 and lost in the second round of the Big Ten tournament to No. 4-seed Michigan (4-1).
