Lady Raiders set for spring break matches

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's tennis team travels to New Orleans for two midweek matches before capping spring break off in Georgia. The Blue Raiders are riding a five-match win streak as they take on Southern, New Orleans and Kennesaw State.

Here come the Blue Raiders
- Middle Tennessee's roster features two seniors (Marta Peris Herrero and Lidia Burrows), two juniors (Lee Barnard and Zani Barnard) and three freshmen (Love-Star Alexis, Muskan Gupta and Noelle Mauro).
- The past decade, the Blue Raiders are 65-26 in home matches and 41-58 in away matches.
- Head coach Tayo Bailey-Duvall is in her second season with the Blue Raiders.
- The Raiders finished 11-13 overall and 2-3 in Conference USA last year, reaching the tournament quarterfinals before falling to C-USA Champion Rice.
- Burrows and Herrero lead the Blue Raiders with a combined 100 career singles wins.
- Freshman Love-Star Alexis led the Raiders with the most fall wins with seven, look for her to make an immediate impact this season.
- MT moved to 16-0 over Tennessee State.
- Last week, the Raiders swept UAPB (7-0) to continue their five-match win streak
